Emily Chiang is a Film Distribution & Marketing and Film Production professional born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, and currently based in the Chicago Metropolitan Area. Emily currently purchasing her M.S. in Leadership for Creative Enterprises at Northwestern University. She previously earned a B.F.A. in Film and a minor in Photography, Video, and Design from Syracuse University.

Emily began her creative journey as a filmmaker with various experiences in creating narrative shorts, documentaries, and experimental films. She is passionate about using different types of visuals for storytelling and exploring diverse topics, mainly focused on cultural differences, minority groups, and social issues. She believes it is essential to use our voices to open discussions for the audience, inspire and awaken people to hear and reflect on the topics that are usually being ignored and the voices that are silenced.

In her long-term career goals, Emily aims to focus on film distribution and marketing. She wants to promote and support Asian and young filmmakers, and provide opportunities and platforms for distribution, exposure, and commercial transformation for talents who lack market experience. She is open to any opportunity related to the media and entertainment industry that can help develop and sharpen her professional skills.
